Ventured here to see what the Jamaican cuisine was like in Charlotte. Carry out or food service seem to be the most popular style of experience, although there is a countertop for stand up eating. I ordered oxtail and curry goat, both were flavorful and portioned well - the side of plantain and steamed cabbage were also delicious. Although they were not busy, the food took quite a while to be served. If you’re in the area, I would give it a try. Street parking is available but could be tricky during peak hours as it is in a residential areas.

GEM! craving Jamaican food when this placed came up while searching on Google maps. Fairly new so decided to check them out. Located in old neighborhood. You park ok the side of the street. You cannot miss it. The outside is colored all in bright yellow and green! Walked in and at first I wasn't too sure because it was empty except for a TV that was on and I heard someone in the kitchen. Ordered the small BBQ jerk chicken platter with rice and steamed cabbage, beef Patti with coco bread! Omg it was all DELICIOUS! Very tasteful and thankfully the BBQ jersey chicken was not spicy at all. That's a more mild version than the Jerk chicken. The sir who helped me was very polite and appreciative that I ordered his food. I will definetly be returning to try the oxtails! An fyi-they don't take cash.

I ordered the jerk chicken with Mac and cheese and a beef patty and everything was amazing. The food took about 10 minutes and it was very hot and tasted fresh. There is a very distinct smoky taste to the jerk chicken which I enjoyed. The jerk chicken is chopped up to fit into a smaller container but the portion size is big (I ordered a small). The jerk chicken was pretty spicy so if you are more sensitive to spicy foods I would suggest getting the mild jerk chicken. I would definitely suggest trying this place out if you like Jamaican food, and I look forward to coming back and trying something new. It is also worth noting that this restaurant is take out only, and does not accept cash.

My 1st time here based on a recommendation. This is take out or delivery only. I got the small jerk chicken mild with a side of collard greens. The rice and Peas were good the rice was cooked well all soft no crunchy pieces but there could gave been more beans. Now those collard greens were the best I have had at an jamacian resturant here they were so flavor full I thought they were my grandma's. I would go back just for the greens. Now the chicken was cooked just right it was tender and fall of the bone but not fall off the bone to be shredded chicken. The mild jerk sauce had the right amount of spice and was not overly hot where you could not enjoy it if you are not a hot person. Will definitely be ordering again
